CRAWFORD COUNTY ANNUAL ELECTION
COORDINATING COMMITTEE MEETING
JANUARY 22, 2009

Meeting was called to order by Election Coordinator, Sandra Moore at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 in the County Building, Grayling, Michigan.

Members present: Mike Dunckel, Lynn George, and Michele Moshier.
Members absent: Monica Ashton, Sandra Baynham, Nancy Bindschatel, Sharon Hartman, Cynthia Infante’, Carol Rosenberg, and Lorraine Markovich.
Election Coordinator Sandra Moore present.
Others present: Gwen Bush, and Kathy Koch.

The purpose of the meeting was to review and if necessary to alter the election arrangements set forth in the 2009/10 election plan.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Michele Moshier, second by Mike Dunckel, to approve the February 2, 2007 Annual Election Coordinating Committee Meeting Minutes as presented. All Ayes, Motion Carried.

County Clerk/Register, Sandra Moore advised the Township/City Clerk’s have expressed an interest in keeping the precinct locations the same as in the previous plan.

Crawford AuSable Business Manager, Mike Dunckel advised the school district has a Public Hearing set for Monday, February 9^th to adopt a resolution to reflect odd year May elections. This change will coincide with COOR Intermediate School District and Kirtland Community College and be a significant savings to the district. The school will have to change two (2) present board terms to reflect six (6) years; and the 18.0000 bond millage proposal will have to be added this year as it expires next.

The Clerk requested members review the present reimbursement form to accommodate collections before the June 15, school year end close.

The Clerk will seek reimbursements from the Township/City immediately following the election and submit a final bill to the Schools by the June 15^th school year end.

Ballot issues for 2009 will be:

Two 6 year terms for Crawford AuSable School District and
1 - 18.000 bond millage renewal.

Two - 4 year terms for Gerrish Higgins School District.

Two - 6 year terms for Kirtland Community College.

Four - 6 year terms for COOR Intermediate School District.

Members agreed to delay approval of the plan until after the Crawford AuSable School District holds the Public Hearing.

Consensus to meet Wednesday, February 11, 2009 @ 10:00 a.m.
