Veteran's Affairs Office - Ron Schreiber
The office houses the Disabled American Field Service Officer for northern lower Michigan. In addition, it is the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund Office for Crawford County and the County Soldiers Relief Fund Office.
The DAV Service Office assists veterans, widows and dependents filing for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and other federal and state agencies. Veterans may file for compensation, pension, education, medical benefits, discharge upgrades, Home Loan Certificates, Reports of Separation (DD214) and also obtain transportation to and from V.A. medical appointments.
Hours of operation vary month to month according to the Service Officers travel schedule. Please call for information.
Michigan Veterans Trust Fund
The Michigan Veterans Trust Fund for Crawford County meets every Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm. This offers emergency assistance to war time veterans with food, utilities, clothing and lodging.
