CRIME VICTIMS CAN TURN TO PROSECUTING ATTORNEY OFFICES for help. Crawford County has created a Victim Assistance Office to help crime victims during their involvement with the criminal justice system ... to answer questions ... to keep them informed ... to provide referrals to counseling and support groups ... and to provide personal assistance when possible.

Upon request, services can include:

    diamond status information on your case
    diamond referrals for counseling, support groups and emergency services (food, shelter and clothing)
    diamond crime victim compensation information
    diamond victim impact statements
    diamond restitution information and assistance
    diamond help with the return of personal property
    diamond accompanying a victim to court
    diamond employer intervention
    diamond courtroom orientation & information on how the court works
    diamond privacy prior to appearing in court
    diamond informing the community about victim's rights
